LAURA RESAU

Dealing with the topic of immigration, Laura Resau's novel Red Glass won the IRA Young Adult Fiction Award, the Americas Award, the Colorado Book Award, and was selected for Oprah's reading list.

A starred review by Publishers' Weekly calls it a "vibrant, large-hearted story."  Resau's debut novel, What the Moon Saw, is an Americas Award Honor Book, an ALA Best Book for Young Adults, and a Colorado Book Award Winner.
 In a starred review, Booklist calls What the Moon Saw "a powerful, magical story ... a rare glimpse into an indigenous culture." Her upcoming novel, The Indigo Notebook, is the first in a travel-adventure series. Resau lived in Oaxaca, Mexico, for two years as an English teacher and anthropologist, and has traveled extensively in Latin America.  She now lives with her husband and toddler in Fort Collins, Colorado, where she writes and teaches ESL to immigrants.
