WHAT IS FORT COLLINS READS?

What if an entire city read the same book and then discussed it? Residents in cities from Seattle to New York thought so and did just that - had the entire community read the same book and discuss it. Fort Collins was one of the first cities in Colorado to experience this phenomenon in 2002!

FORT COLLINS READS is a unique opportunity for residents to educate themselves, meet people beyond their everyday contacts, and share in a positive experience. The program is family oriented and includes books that appeal to both adults and teenagers.

Since 2002 the program has proven to be one of the few multigenerational and multicultural experiences for the community, and has involved more than 4,500 people.

A great book combines enlightenment with enchantment. It awakens our imagination and enlarges our humanity. It can even offer insights that somehow console and comfort us. Whether you're a regular reader already or a nonreader making up for lost time...
